A lifelong learner with nearly thirty years work experience in education, I’ve been a teacher, counselor, administrator (and currently media specialist) in high school, postsecondary adult vocational/technical center, community college, and online learning environments.
I’ve lived in many places in the world (born in NY, graduated from high school in Korea, and cut my professional teeth in WY) – currently in Naples, FL.
I started blogging for educational technology graduate coursework at University of Florida in early 2006 (Coleman’s expressions and M. Coleman Computing). When I accepted the new position of Media Specialist, I created a blog for school (Lorenzo Walker Technical High School and Institute of Technology), but have recently decided that I need a space that is not directly school-related for my musings…not to say that I won’t be writing about learning! Blogging turns out to me a nice surface to bounce ideas around or to just have a place to write for me! And, I’ve made a switch to edublogs to see how it compares to blogger software – so far, a mixed bag…
